Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and funded by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, New Delhi in October 1988 at this institute. Through the efforts of EDC, one M.E. Instrumentation student, has started ARMS Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd. For this enterprise, the college has given all facilities for his innovative work. There are quite a number of hi-tech companies, which are born and nursed here. They have "Spin off" when they acquire strength.
The institute has initiated steps to set up a Research / Technology park for starting new technology based firms in the region. It welcomes innovators, creative thinkers and researchers from all over the world. It has links with many industries and research laboratories. It has helped in marketing a number of software for engineering colleges and industries. It has a technology licencing program and has commercialized new technologies based on which enterprises have started.
Industry - Institute - Interaction Center (IIIC)
The college has an IIIC which keeps in touch with industries around
to tap industrial problems for projects, dissertations and consultancy.
It also helps all the teaching departments to design their syllabus
according to the needs of industries.
Bio Medical Instrumentation Center
The Bio-Medical Instrumentation
Center (BMIC) of SGGS is headed by Prof. S.G. Kahalekar.
Credit Coop. Society
The Credit Co-operative Society
(CCS) of SGGS is headed by Dr. P.D. Jadhav.
ISTE Chapter
The ISTE Chapter of SGGSCE&T,
Nanded is presided over by Dr. T.R. Sontakke, Principal. Prof. U.D.
Kulkarni is working as Secretary of the Chapter.
Student’s Association
The institute has a very good
atmosphere for "Beyond the academics" thirst. A wide range of
recreational and extra-curricular activities are provided through
various students' organizations like students' Technical Activity Center(STAC), Electronics and Computer Departmental Organization of
Students(EC-DOS), Association of Civil-Water Management Engineering
Students (ACES), Production Engineering Students' Association of
Maharashtra (PESAM), Nadbramha (for music-lovers), etc. The students
represent a substantial pool of talents in music, drama, dance,
literature, sports, etc. For the literaturephile, wall magazines like "Spandan",
"Mayurpankha" are run.
